Tuition Assistance: A limited amount of tuition assistance is available. Requests must be submitted by May 1, 2012 to ensure consideration. The tuition assistance application process is available to both returning and first year families, although due to limited funds, returning families will be given priority. New and returning families may apply on-line at www.factstuitionaid.com  only if your enrollment forms and fees are complete and processed at SCS. A $25 non-refundable FACTS application fee is required at time of application. For additional information contact Angie Cadwell in the Business Office.

Tuition discount is available to children of pastors and missionaries. Please contact Fran Hubeek in Admissions for further information.

2012-2013 Explanation of Fees

ANNUAL FEES INCLUDED IN CONTRACT TOTAL
  • Activity fee: ASB activities, yearbooks and retreat expenses
  • Textbook/Materials Fee: We have combined all extra class fees, including workbooks, lab fees, etc., into one fee payable over 10 months. This will eliminate additional costs at the beginning of each quarter.
  • Transportation Fee: Vehicle purchase, lease, charter, repair and maintenance as well as stipend for certified drivers for all K-12 activities are included in this fee.
  • Senior Fee: This amount includes the senior sweatshirt, spring retreat and miscellaneous expenses for the graduation exercises. The cap, gown and announcements are not included in this fee and must be ordered separately from Jostens.
OTHER FEES
  • Account Set Up Fee – There is a $50.00 charge per family to set up all tuition accounts each year
  • Athletic Participation Fee: Helps to pay for costs associated with SCS athletics such as field rentals, officials’ fees, equipment purchases, maintenance, uniforms, and transportation to practices and games.
  • Campus Fund Fee: All new families enrolling will be charged a one-time fee to help defray building improvement costs for the school. This can be paid at time of registration or included in your monthly payment.
  • Emergency Preparedness Fee: This provides for bottled water, food items and other supplies necessary in the event of an emergency. Items are rotated throughout the year to retain freshness.
  • SALT Fee: The fees collected finance PTF activities and help fund the tuition assistance program. (Please see SALT information for further explanation of this program). Student Parking Fee: High School students must apply for a permit to park at school. A copy of their valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and parking fee should be turned in with the student parking application.
  • Student Support Program: This program provides instructional support to students in grades 1-12 who may need more intentional and personalized instruction for academic success. Students qualify for this program through recommendation of the teacher and or parent, based on student performance and assessment.
  • Warriors Kids Club- Seattle Christian’s before and after school care

The only billing processed through Seattle Christian Schools will be for SALT, the Student Support Program and Warriors Kids Club. Musicale is collected by the individual music teachers. The Athletic Participation Fee is collected by the athletic department.
