Board of Trustees
Meet The Board
Using the Policy Governance philosophy, the Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring the school aligns with the mission, vision, and established Bylaws of Seattle Christian School. The Board of Trustees is self-perpetuating and members serve a five year term.
Board meetings are held monthly, with the exception of July and December. If you would like to email the Board, you can contact them at board@seattlechristian.org
Nick Jansson - President
Nick holds a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology, a B.S. in Zoology, a minor in Chemistry from the University of Washington, and a M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine. He is the Regional Medical Director for Primary Care for King County with Franciscan Medical Group. He and his wife Stephanie attend Christ’s Church in Federal Way and they have two children enrolled in SCS elementary.

Dani Yorkston - Secretary
Dani is a Seattle Christian School Alum. She and her husband James have three children, two old enough to attend elementary at SCS. They attend Highlands Community Church in Renton. Dani sits on the board of the Washington Officials Association. She is passionate about impacting the lives of athletes through coaching and officiating. She coached cheerleading at Seattle Christian for 11 years. She has been a cheerleading official for 13 years, serving as President of her local official’s board.

Carol Murray - Treasurer
Carol holds a BS in Finance and BA in Philosophy from Azusa Pacific University and is a former CFA charter holder. She is currently the Director of Corporate FP&A for Alaska Airlines. Carol and her husband Michael (an SCS alumnus) attend Christ’s Church in Federal Way. They have two sons enrolled in SCS elementary.

Andrew Busz - Board Member
Andrew is a Financial Policy Director for the Washington State Hospital Association. Andrew and his wife Erika attend All Souls Presbyterian Church in West Seattle. Their daughter and son are graduates of SCS.

Teresa Savage - Board Member
Teresa is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch and also serves on the St. Anne’s Hospital Foundation Board (formerly known as the Highline Hospital Foundation Board.) Teresa, an SCS alum, and her husband Kenny have two sons attending elementary school at Seattle Christian. Teresa and her family attend New Life Church in Normandy Park.
