Meet The Board
Using the Policy Governance philosophy, the Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring the school aligns with the mission, vision, and established Bylaws of Seattle Christian School. The Board of Trustees is self-perpetuating and members serve a five year term.
Board meetings are held monthly, with the exception of July and December. If you would like to email the Board, you can contact them at email@example.com
Chris Glynn – President
Chris holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University. Chris is currently the Senior Vice President of Transformational Engagement at WorldVision U.S. Throughout his career, Chris has held a variety of executive leadership positions with large for profit and non-profit organizations. Chris and his wife, Chris, have two daughters currently enrolled at Seattle Christian. The Glynn’s attend Brooklake Church in Federal Way.
Jack Childress – Secretary
Jack holds a BS in Business from Southern Oregon State. Jack is a Technical Salesman for Christler Chemical & Plastics in Wilsonville, OR. Jack and his wife, Debbie, have two daughters enrolled at SCS. His family attends Christian Faith Church where Jack serves as a Deacon. Jack and his family enjoy many outdoor activities.
Sue-Ann and her high school sweetheart David, have four boys. Sue-Ann has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and was an inner-city Chicago Public School teacher before she and her husband moved to Seattle. Sue-Ann worked as the Director of Children and Family Ministries at Church By the Side of the Road and later at her current church, John Knox Presbyterian. She’s served on numerous local charity boards and capital campaigns.
Debbie holds a BA in Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and finance from the University of Washington. She is a CPA and is the Assistant Controller for the Nordstrom corporation. Deborah and her husband Craig have two boys enrolled at Seattle Christian. The Beck's attend Northwest Bible Church in Enumclaw.
Cyrus is the CEO of Mafi International Inc and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Impact a Life Foundation and Revive Africa Christian Schools. He holds a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerodynamics and Child Psychology as well as a BA in Language Arts and World History. Cyrus and his wife Maria have two daughters. One of his daughters attends SCS and one recently graduated SCS and is enrolled at Seattle University. The Mafi family attend The Mission Church
Kellie and her husband Rodney have two children who have graduated from SCS. Kellie graduated from Rhema Bible Training College and began her career with Electrical Workers in 1992 where she is the Office Manager. She owns a conferencing and events company as well. Kellie serves on the Healthcare Committee for the Governor's Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board; is the President of the Office Workers Board; and serves as a member of the DOSH/Industrial Insurance Committee. Kellie enjoys attending New Hope Church in Kent, WA.
