The Director of Philanthropy reports to the Superintendent, functions as a member of the Cabinet, and directly leads the development and execution of SCS’s continued philanthropic growth through expanded donor cultivation and stewardship, alumni engagement, annual giving, fundraising opportunities, and donation platform management.
The Director of Philanthropy oversees donor and alumni relationships, coordinating and maximizing fundraising events, event volunteer management, and SCS community engagement. Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of three years of experiences in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events
- Experience leading fundraising strategy development and implementation of fundraising operating plans
- Strong project management skills with the ability to produce and manage multiple deliverables with overlapping deadlines

Key Responsibilities:
Mission and Culture: Centers on living out the mission with a grounded, strength of character. Maintains a positive culture of collaboration and productivity. Promotes a vibrant, Christ-centered and unified workplace.
Champion of People: Invests relationally in faculty and staff. Serves as an ambassador for the school through developing, engaging, and deepening relationships with donors and alumni. Ensures donor recognition and facilitates meaningful stewardship. Builds relationships with parent volunteers to coordinate external and internal efforts and initiatives, including engaging with the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) steering team.
Best Practices: Develops and leads the comprehensive strategy to grow philanthropic contributed revenue, in close partnership with the Superintendent and Director of Finance. Manages donor portfolio of individuals to acquire, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts. Places emphasis on personal contact with donors through engagement points such as visits, tours, events, phone calls, emails, and personal correspondence. Maintain and manage the Philanthropy budget.
Key Resources: Works closely with Superintendent, Director of Finance, and Board to determine needs and provide fundraising strategic advice regarding planning and positioning activities to optimize fundraising potential. Develops and drives strategies to achieve priority fundraising goals with a focus on securing gifts from alumni and private donors. Responsible for compilation and production of Scepter publication in cooperation with Marketing department.
Community: Serves as lead contact for coordinating and executing large fundraising events such as the Auction and Golf Tournament. Builds meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize alignment with strategic goals and philanthropic support for those goals. Develops strategies and implements activities to maximize relationships with donations from alumni and donors. Responsible for planning and overseeing other community building events such as Christmas in the Courtyard and the Fall Festival.
Teamwork: Assists with Central Office support, as needed. Engages in effective and supportive conversations with various departments of the school as needed. Provides hospitality for school events as needed to ensure welcoming and positive experiences.

The Secondary Registrar and Testing Coordinator reports to the Director of Secondary Education (Secondary Principal) and serves collaboratively with the secondary team to provide support and care to students, faculty and staff, and parents. - Manage the full lifecycle of student academic records with precision and confidentiality.
- Transcribe incoming secondary transcripts and collaborate with the Guidance Counselor to recommend appropriate graduation pathways.
- Record, organize, and securely store permanent student records in both digital and physical formats, ensuring full compliance with FERPA, state policies, and school procedures.
- Generate official transcripts, education verifications, letters of good standing, honor roll lists/certificates, GPA reports, academic eligibility rosters, and other requested documents for students, alumni, colleges, scholarship agencies, and external entities.
- Maintain and update critical platforms including the NCAA portal for scholar-athletes and the Parchment account for secure electronic transcript delivery; support student registration and access.
- Partner closely with the Guidance Counselor and Secondary Principal to monitor student progress toward graduation:
- Track dual-credit course enrollment, grades, updates, and community service hours; maintain accurate records and reports.
- Proactively identify and communicate with families regarding students with missing credits; support credit recovery efforts.
- Distribute diplomas, final transcripts, and post-graduation documents to graduating seniors.
- Lead grading and reporting processes:
- Prepare and communicate grade-reporting deadlines and instructions to faculty.
- Collect grades, generate report cards, and distribute to students and parents/guardians.
- Support the National Honor Society Coordinator with GPA reports and documentation.
- Drive scheduling and course management:
- Provide accurate data input to support master schedule development.
- Partner with the Counselor to print and distribute student schedules; assist secondary office staff with schedule preparation and printing.
- Oversee administration of all secondary standardized testing in collaboration with the Guidance Counselor, Secondary Principal, and Learning Support Coordinator.
- Ensure data integrity across all systems:
- Coordinate with the IT department to keep student information (emails, logins, classes, grades) accurate and current in all student information systems.
- Generate relevant data reports as needed for counseling, administration, and compliance purposes.
- Support the Secondary Office as needed.
