General Description

Each Elementary Teacher reports to the Elementary Principal, serves collaboratively with the Department and/or Grade Level Teams, and engages with the Elementary Leadership Team for additional support, conversation, and decision-making.

 

Role Qualifications

  • Possess or be able to acquire a valid Washington State teaching certificate and ACSI certificate
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in education, a specific content area, or related field
  • Demonstrate successful teaching experience relevant to the teaching role being applied for
  • Have a collaborative approach with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and parents
  • Communicate and operate with integrity, excellence, and effectiveness, both verbal and written

Staff

Seattle Christian School is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the role of Substitute Bus Driver.

Bus Drivers are responsible for transporting students in grades K-12 and appropriate adults for all types of school-related events.

Desired applicants will meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 25 years of age with 5 years driving experience.
  • Must have a valid Washington State driver's license, preferably with a CDL classification, with passenger endorsement, and no air brake restriction, or the willingness to take part in the training and testing required to obtain such classification/ endorsements.
  • Must pass a DOT medical examination and possess or obtain valid basic first aid card and keep them current.
  • Must currently meet, and continue to meet all requirements for Washington State School Bus Driver Authorization.
  • Must submit to drug and alcohol testing and be part of a random testing pool as required by federal law.

Essential Physical Functions/Demands

  • Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time, sit, kneel, bend and move around the classroom and building throughout the day
  • Must have the ability to lift approximately 10 lbs. and occasional moving of equipment and/or materials
  • Must have the ability to see and read a computer screen and printed materials, and hear and understand speech at a normal level
  • Must be able to monitor student safety along with implementing emergency procedures
  • Must be able to speak, write and communicate proficiently in the English language

The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for creating a welcoming and customer-friendly environment, along with performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support daily operations of the Central Office.

Key Responsibilities 

Mission and Culture:  Welcome campus guests with kindness and care.  Foster a warm and joyful office space with intentionality, grace, and hospitality.

Champion of People:  Demonstrate a heart for serving people, listening effectively, and operating with a friendly spirit.

Best Practices: Identify needs of guests, provide excellent customer service, and communicate those needs effectively to the staff/faculty involved. Answer phones and emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate party. Maintain an orderly and well-stocked office space.

Primary Tasks: Oversee Central Office reception including answering phones and doors, ordering supplies, and pricing and stocking promotional materials. Provide back up to Community Engagement Liaison for sending communications and support other departments as needed (Admissions support, staff events, campus hosting, etc.).

Community:  Participate in community-wide events, demonstrating support of the school and a commitment to unity around Christ and the mission.

Teamwork: Provide administrative support to the Central Office team as well as other departments throughout the campus as needed with a collaborative approach.
