Administrators

Seattle Christian School is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the role of Secondary Principal for the 2022-23 school year.

The Secondary Principal reports to the Superintendent of Seattle Christian School and serves collaboratively with the Academic Team and Campus Leadership Team.  The Secondary Principal leads the Secondary Leadership Team and oversees all programs and personnel for seventh through twelfth grades.

Role Qualifications

  • Hold and maintain a valid Washington State administrative certificate and ACSI certificate
  • Demonstrate successful leadership experience and possess a minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience
  • Possess experiences, education, and knowledge of middle and high school curriculum and instruction, faculty/staff development and evaluation, counseling, learning support, and co-curricular programming
  • Have a collaborative approach with administrators, faculty, staff, students and parents
  • Communicate with excellence and effectiveness, both verbal and written
  • Show experience with the budgeting process and fiscal management

Resources: Supports the budgeting process to situate the hiring and developing of faculty and staff along with verifying appropriate allocations for programming and activities

Community: Partners with families and the school community through effective communication and intentionality in relationships and building rapport

Staff

Seattle Christian School is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the role of Deli Assistant.

General Description

The Deli Assistant is responsible for assisting in the Deli with serving of lunches, supervising students during lunch periods, and assisting in clean-up of the lunch facilities. The Deli Assistant serves collaboratively with Lunchroom Supervisors and the Facilities Lead and reports to the Deli Lead.

Role Qualifications

  • Able to work alongside Deli Lead to efficiently process lunch orders
  • Possesses skills to work in a fast-paced environment with strong ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to supervise and encourage students in the lunch room
  • Hold or be able to acquire a work handlers permit

Key Responsibilities

Mission and Culture: Welcomes students and faculty/staff to the Warrior Deli with kindness and care. Supports fostering an efficient and inviting lunch room.

Champion of People: Engages relationally with students and co-workers, supports the Deli Lead, and assists Supervisors in lunch room duties.

Best Practices: Assists with daily lunch processes, providing excellent customer service and supervision to students in the lunchroom.

Primary Tasks: Manages cash sales, maintains clean and sanitary conditions, assists with ordering menu items, receives supplies, monitors and stores inventory, processes lunch orders, sets up and cleans up, and supervises students.

Community: Participates in community-wide events, demonstrating support of the school and a commitment to unity around Christ and the mission.

Teamwork: Coordinate with Deli Lead to provide service to all customers of the Deli.

General Description 

The Marketing and Communications role reports to the Public Relations / Development Manager at Seattle Christian School and is responsible for providing support for communications, marketing and coordination of non-fundraising school events.

Role Qualifications

  • Radiate a sense of grace and peace throughout all facets of daily work and personal interactions
  • Hold strong project management skills with the ability to produce and manage multiple deliverables with overlapping deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Champion of People: Invests spiritually and professionally in faculty and staff. Serves as an ambassador for the school through overseeing social media platforms and school publications. Connects with outside vendors for advertising and promotion and coordinates opportunities for community connections with non-fundraising school events.  Promotes a vibrant, Christ-centered and unified workplace.

Best Practices: Provides efficient and functional support to the Public Relations / Development Manager by assisting in creation of marketing and promotional materials, SCS Scepter magazine and is responsible for coordinating, executing and producing global school communications, correspondence and announcements.

Key Resources: Reviews and maintains the school website. Connects with advertising vendors. Responsible for capturing photo opportunities at campus events as well as day to day activities.

Community: Coordinates and executes non-fundraising school events (Back to School BBQ, Veteran’s Chapel, Graduation, etc.). Updates school website in conjunction with various departments.  Serves as lead contact for advertising vendors.

Teamwork: Assists with Central Office support, as needed. Engages in effective and supportive conversations with various departments of the school as needed.

  • Volleyball coaching experience required.
