Mission and Beliefs
To proclaim Jesus Christ in all aspects of our program, emphasizing academic excellence and biblical Christian values, partnering with parents and the church to prepare godly young men and women so they may impact their world for Christ.
What We Believe
As seen in the SCS statement of faith, we believe and teach that God has given mankind the inerrant Old and New Testaments as our sure guide for faith and practice. It is by these Scriptures and His created universe that we learn about God’s holy and immutable nature, trinitarian personhood as well as His plans to redeem man from his rebellion and estrangement through the life, death and resurrection of Christ and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
As a result, the truth of God’s sure promises found within the Scriptures give the Christian hope, direction, and purpose in this life and the one to come.
How We Live In Community
The SCS community is very fortunate to have families and students from many church communities. Relishing in the diversity of the Body of Christ, we seek to honor each denominational tradition while remaining true to orthodoxy.
We do this, in part, by living into to the little phrase attributed to the 17th Century German theologian, Rupertus Meldenius.
“In essentials – unity, in non-essentials – liberty, and in all things – charity”
The truth of this phrase binds us to the essentials that give the Christian community unity, encourages cordial discourse about our differences, and requires that we practice charity or love to one another.
