Dear Friends of Seattle Christian –

The SCS Board of Directors continues to pray for you and your families during these unprecedented times. We pray that the Lord would protect you and your loved ones, that He would stop this virus, and that each of us would know, embrace, and reflect the certainty that comes in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Personally, I find myself reflecting on Matthew 6:25-34 during this time.

We are grateful to our SCS leaders who are taking every measure to care for our students, families, faculty, and staff to provide the best student learning experience possible. It is our commitment to keep students on track both educationally and spiritually while we are in this remote learning environment together.

Families at Seattle Christian are being impacted financially during these times as well. Many are experiencing job loss and salary reductions, impacting their ability to provide life-giving Christian education to their families. SCS is responding to these challenges by taking significant measures to reduce our expenses during this time: cutting all discretionary spending, eliminating vendor costs, etc. SCS remains committed to continuing to adjust as many expenses as possible while enabling our faculty to stay engaged in teaching students during these times.

With these God-sized challenges as the backdrop, we wanted to provide the opportunity for our wonderful community to partner with us in supporting SCS families who find themselves in financial need this season.

In the video below, SCS Board Vice President and parent, Richard Mullen, shares how your timely financial gift can help Bridge the Gap, making an immediate difference for SCS families impacted by COVID-19. As we come together in generosity, our SCS faculty and staff have also been invited to give to this fund. Our goal is to combine the cost cutting measures described above with your donations to raise $200,000 to help families bridge the gap for this school year.

As we move forward together in love and compassion for one another:

  • Let us Pray!  We are a strong Warrior community, rooted in faith and ready to pray for our SCS family, state, country, and world as we come together with purpose.
  • Let us Give!  As the Lord leads, you can help Bridge the Gap - keeping families affected by COVID-19 at SCS, ensuring they continue to receive a premier faith-based learning experience, remotely and beyond. Your gift of any amount makes a difference.
  • Let us Unite!  May we come together, work together, and be a community that can share burdens, supporting one another as we are able.

Thank you for standing together! The SCS Board of Trustees along with administration, faculty, and staff, are committed to equip students for a full and comprehensive remote learning experience. Our unique situation will be remembered for years to come, and during this challenging season, we stand united as one #WarriorStrong community.

In prayer for you and your families,

The SCS Board of Trustees
