On April 11, Seattle Christian School seniors signed their National Letters of Intent to compete in athletics at the collegiate level. Known to their friends as diligent and dedicated students due to enrolling in AP classes or tutoring underclassmen, they challenged themselves academically and athletically throughout their high school years.
Hannah Glynn (pictured from left) earned the Nisqually League Sportsmanship Team Award First Team three times and Varsity Scholar Athlete four times, and is Vice President of the senior class. She will be joining the soccer team at Dordt College in Iowa.
Michael McPherson, awarded Varsity Scholar Athlete three times and member of the Yearbook team will be pursuing soccer at Colorado Christian University.
When SCS doesn’t offer a specific sport, students are partnered with his or her local school to participate in their chosen sport. This enabled Tyler Goodspeed, President of Associated Student Body (ASB), to participate in swimming, in which he’ll compete at Seattle University.
Also attending Dordt College to continue basketball is Zachary VanderLey, President of the senior class, actor, musician, and two time Varsity Scholar Athlete.
Jaden Stevenson (not pictured), musician, and two time Varsity Scholar Athlete, will be attending Green River Community College in Auburn to play baseball.
These talented athletes are exceptional examples of achieving excellence both in the classroom and in athletics at Seattle Christian School. Great job, Warriors!
